Hi:

I've recently...well not too recently, like within the past month, birthed some Brazil strain cakes.  They fruit, but I have been getting a ton of aborts...a ton!!!, In fact I think that maybe 1, or 2, have grown into full shrooms, out of maybe 30 aborts. Some of the aborts get fairly large, but they always abort in the end, and do not drop spores.  Does anyone know if this is characteristic of this strain?  I've never had this problem before...at least not on this scale...not even close. I've heard that Brazil was a good strain, but now I'm a bit dissapointed....assuming that the strain has anything to do with this.

There can be many reasons for this, among them the substrate composition, substrate moisture, environmental temperature and humidity, air exchange.....
Perhaps try to case the cakes and see if you still experience the same problems.
