Pans

I'm going to be growing some pans. I was thinking of using just millet for spawn. I don't have easy access to rye. Would a mix of millet and another grain be better?

Dub,
  Unfortunately Rye or a Rye/Millet blend would be first choice for Pan spawn, but I'm fairly confident that you can get a really good foundation going with Brn Rice or Brn Rice/Millet blend. 
  I've seen Pan started by knocking barley .   So, try your luck and continue to shop around.   You might be pleased with the results,

I do have some barley that I picked up from whole foods last week. I plan on spawning to worm castings/straw.
