How do you properly flush a cake?

After your first flush, how do you clip the Shroom? 

do you leave a little nub where it was or do you completely remove it from the cake for the 2nd flush?

whats the best way to get the cake ready for a 2nd flush??

Twist and pull.   :mellow:

Try not to leave any remains from your harvest.
Leaving shit like that can cause contam and is massive fail.

so can you or should you actually scrape the surface of the cakes?? or just pick them off as close to the cake.

What do you mean by dunk it?

Just pull all your shrooms off and dunk it into water for 10 hours or soo. And you can roll your cakes into vermiculite!

I always dunk my cakes prior to my first flush, roll in fine verm and put in FC .. after picking off the fruit dunk the cake again  and roll in fresh fine verm.

Thanks for all the help and tips, but I still feel dumb.  So when you say dunk the cakes, are you saying that once the first flush has been picked off the cake, you soak them in water for 10 hours and then place the cake back in teh tank for a 2nd fruiting??

Yes. You may also want to re-roll The cakes in verm for moisture retention.

YUP dunk then roll in fine verm (or verm) and put back into the FC.
