Crumbling wbs or rye berries

If you are crumbling your cakes into a pan for bulk, how thick should the layer of inoculated spawn be before you add the layer of casing?

What are you spawning to? You want the spawn to run the bulk sub before you case. You could go 3" to 6".

Pasteurized straw is easy, or you can just case the colonized grains.
