This is my first time trying to grow. My jars while starting to colonize within the first week, the mycelium is not fully colonizing after 3 1/2 weeks. The temp is the same and so is the humidity. Can it take longer than 4 weeks to fully colonize. I am growing B+ Cubensis in BRF vermiculite substrate. Most jars are not even half colonized. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

BRF is slow, check out grains... Sometimes turning the jars over will help.

I'll try that. Thanks for the help.

also make sure that the mycelium is getting some air.

ive had it take me almost 2 months to fully colonize. there are variables that can slow it down of course, like how tight the BRF and vermiculite is packed into the jars, and how many cc's you injected.  if the mycelium is spreading and there's no contams, it will happen eventually..

I'm where you are at....from what I read and seen, 4 weeks for full colonization is what they say but I'm staring to doubt that.. probably for a very experienced best case scenario cultivator that gets the h2o content just right and lots of spores in the syringe... I'm going to grain as soon as I get some experience..

Good luck to you! cheers..
