Simple question:

Should one sterilize the vermiculite used for rolling?
Thanks for the input!

there is no need.  fully colonized cakes will withstand any outside contam.   It is in the beginning stages that your substrate is susceptible.  and when it gets older and weaker.  dunk and roll away.

If you think your verm is "dirty", like if the bag was left open or something, I've read that you can put it on a baking sheet and put it in the oven at 100 degrees for an hour.  Same goes for perlite if you're reusing it.

You might want to look it up to verify my numbers though...

I bake my perlite at 350. I don;t think 100F will kill all or any bacteria.
Feel good before dying!!!!!
