I have read in some places that you should drill holes in the fruiting chamber, but other places it does not mention needing them.  Which is the best way to go. Also how often should I change the perlite in the fruiting chamber?

Hey guys you want to put just a few holes in your FC. about 1/4 inch holes. put a couple in each side and depending on the relative humidity (RH) in your area you can tape up or open up some of the holes to get the RH inside your fruiting chamber (FC) around 100%. Also, to get the cakes to start fruiting you want good fresh air exchacnge, thats what the holes are for. I don't have any holes so I have to fan my chamber twice or 3 times a day to make sure the cakes get enough fresh air. Good luck.

You should only need to drill holes for FAE if you are not using humidifiers or an automated system for RH/FAE. Lets say you were using perlite/ clay pellets to maintain the RH, holes would be a good idea.
