Hi,

I did my first real grow with a sporeprint which I took myself and everything went fine. Now I had already 4 or 5 flushes I really don´t remember it anymore but it were some. Now my question is, how long should I keep the BRF cakes, till I see mold or something or should I toss em out anyway soon ? Or would you keep it as long as possible as long there is no contamination ?

Thx in advance and hi I´m new here =).

If they're still producing shrooms and no signs of contams then keep em..

Hey thanks for the answer, thats what I thought myself but just wanted to be sure. I did the dunk ´n roll tek but after the first flush I didnt dunk the cakes and the yield wasnt very good after the first flush. Now I just dunked it again and harvested them yesterday and it was again much much better, so I guess cause I didnt dunk em after the first flush there should be still enough nutrtients for the mycel to go.

I did a video of my first flush, it´s bad quality cause it´s just made with a cheap webcam. I made it mainly for a good internet friend but then just upped it at youtube.

If you are on 4th or 5th flush, you're running out of nutrients fast..  Might only get a handful of shrooms this flush, and they could be considerably smaller too.. 5 decent flushes on cakes is more than expected though so definitely be happy with that..

Vid shows a nice looking flush for a 1st timer.. Congrats

Congrats man!
That is impressive for a first timer
Your cakes will most likely be done after
this flush.

Thanks for the answers guys. I have a different question regarding storing spores. At which temperature should I store them ? I have them now in an envelope in my cabinet. I think it´s around 20°c there, or is that too warm and I should put them better in the refrigerator, or would that be already too cold ?

Thanks in advance.

Store them in a dark, cool, dry place... Freezing will destroy them. GL
