I was just milling about in my yard. I found the clusters on a rotting stump in my front yard. They seem very prolific, so I'm curious as to what they are. It seems as though they start as a darker color, but as they grow and split, the cap lightens. I haven't seen them around here before. I couldn't get a spore print out of them, they seem to dry fairly quickly after bring picked.

Area : Northern Michigan.
Recent Weather: It's been drizzling rain the past couple evenings/nights, and sunny and moderately warm during the day. Medium winds.
Cap Size: The largest I saw was about as big around as a quarter, the smallest, about pea sized.
Stalk Size: All were between 3/4 of an inch to 1 inch in length.
Area of Growth :Rotting oak stump in somewhat open area, with moderate sunlight.

If anyone can help me out with these, I have a couple others that I might ask you to identify as well.

Thanks!
