Hey guys im new in this field soo please be patient with me..:)
A week ago i incoculated 8 jars with a spore syringes(golden teacher)which i bought over the internet. I made the mixture right, pressure coocked them, prepared a sterile enviroment and put the jars in a container that was in another container that had a heater in it which was set at 27degres. After a week there is absolutely no sign off any mycelium growing whatsoever. Now im thinking i might coocked them for too long and all the water vaporized out of the jars or maybe i killed all the spores because i didnt wait long enough for the syringe to cool down(aprox. 10sec).
Can anyone help me or tell me anything that could be the reason for such outcome.

Thank you for your time guys.

did you innoc on the sides of the jar or in the middle?

PF or Grain tek?

I'm not famillar with celsius temps so I cant help with temps until you convert it.
you can colonise jars and fruit at room temp. which is around 70 degrees faranheit. <<<spelling

hei guys.

After 2 weeks some growth can be seen now, i was ready to throw them out but then i noticed some white spots. I used bitrthing cakes method and i innoculated them on the sides. But when i opened them to take a sniff at em a kinda weird smell came out, dont know if this is ok? Ihavent seen any signs of any mold forming, maybe its growing in the middle of jar?

tried to post some pic. but when i plug my camera to usb my comp. dies...:)

oh i have to ask this...
http://video.yahoo.com/video/play?vid=549451&fr=yfp-t-501 saw this movie from some other posts, im wondering... I read a lot about handling cakes. As i understood, cakes bruise where u touch them. This guy treated the cakes like baseballs. And the soaking part? Never seen that anywhere. I thought when they are ready i just put em out of the jar and into my terarrium with perlite.

yeah when their done colonizing u can do somthing called a dunk and roll to get more out of your cake.  Submerge the cake for 24 hours then roll them in vermiculite. and try not to open your jars during colonization.

magister

and it wont hurt the cakes when i handle them? I saw in many literature that whereever you touch the cake it will bruise and nothing will grow from that litlle spot. Oh and do you have any suggestions regarding how to speed up the colonization?
thank you

"and it wont hurt the cakes when i handle them?"

No just be careful with them and make sure your hands are clean.

"Oh and do you have any suggestions regarding how to speed up the colonization?"

No,this is a hobby of pateince.Grains IMO colonize faster,but
they will be colonized before you know it. -_-
