When after birthing is it better for the cakes to be in dark, light or both?

A bit of both.
Light is a pinning trigger.
Don't think of mushies like weed.
Indirect light all day and dark at night will do you fine.

thanks, one more for you. I ordered thai suma koi super strain and everytime they flush they are very small, the stems never get big and the caps open while still very small. any suggestions,

um... what kind of suggestions are you looking for? a mature fruit is a mature fruit, pick when ready.
