pressure cooker?

Is a 8 qt pressure cooker good?  if im getting qt jars, then i should be able to fit like 7 in there, right? (mostly is the height affected when smaller.) here's 1 im looking at... cheap at walmart http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=6371940

This is really small. Im pretty sure quart jars will not even fit in this. I just went and checked mine. I have a 16qt presto and it fits 7 quart jars in it with no space on top. So for sure the 8 quart one can only to pint jars and probably only like 5 or so at a time. Pretty much if you are planning on doing grains you have to get a 16qt one or bigger.

I have a 12 qt presto...5 quarts just fit!

I have 3 of those pressure cookers you can squeeze 5 pint jars in there ok.  When your steralizing your spawn just make sure that the little peice on the top is rocky slow and steady that means its around 15psi n cook for n hour.
