Title: Plucking my flush too LATE (pics)
Post by: PyramidHead1128 on June 17, 2009, 11:22:16 AM
I was wondering when the right time to pluck the mushrooms would be, until i noticed that all the spores fell outta them, i took them out right away.

Does this mean that the shrooms will be less effective, or any different than if i had picked them sooner?

I hope the cake is still OK to use too and the spores wont affect the next flush that comes along.
What do you guys think.
Thanks.

I have never seen any negative effects from spores dropping in my FC, other than having something to clean up. As far as your cake is concerned, there should not be any problems with it either. Just dunk it in water for a few hours and put it back in your FC for the next flush to start growing.

your shrooms won't be less effective, its not the spores that gives the effectiveness.
