Do u have to disinfect the perlite before you place it in the FC? If so, whats the best way?
Off topic- i didnt get a chance to get the Clacium carbonate, so is the 60/40 peat, verm alone ok? will the ph level be ok?

No.
Just make sure it's strained of water before adding to your FC.
I would make the mix 40/60 peat/verm.
