Cultivation / I posted on here a year ago, my story.
September 06, 2010, 11:10:16 AM
posted on here a year ago and saw this group of people that posted on here often, i was in some trouble... but in the end made some awesome shroomies.

Malabar, dubstep, shroomzer, and psilocybin warrior were always on, and were friends.

i always thought wow how crazy is it that this is such a small forum and they stil update and help people along with something theyve mastered a while ago.

i log in ever few months, to see if these people still talk, i remember malabar was gone for a while.

you people even tho you dont know it are amazing to me, i dont really spend  that much time on the internet but i was in a sad place when i came here and i guess the timing was where i remember this little website starting my interest in shrooms.

Kepp in mind they are cambodian, but im guessing the high pinset caused them to be smaller, because all the other ones with less pins are fat, but just started pinning yesterday so are pins, but the pins are fatter then the fully grown other ones, the other ones had around 50 pins in each bowl... then alot aborted, but not too much actually.

clickable pics are different pics.

THESE ARE ALL CEREAL SIZED BOWLS just to give an accurate thought on the size.

I have a small fan in the fc when i cant tend to it over 10 hours, which works surprisingly amazingly well.

What i want to know is how does this compare to other cam grows? too small? any help?

Cultivation / Putting small fan inside the FC
January 29, 2010, 10:40:18 PM
I have one of those little hand held flat fans that you bring to football games, and i think they sell them there too, I currently have 7 casings going. It is a rectangular rubbermaid that is long but short, but should be good since im growing cambos anyway. My question is if i put one small hole on one of the lengthy sides and put a fan on the opposite side of the whole, would this reduce the need for FE? I still fan using the lid or my floor fan in my room but would this reduce the need for when i cant do it as needed?

I notice that on the side of the whole there is no condensation on the walls of the rubbermaid, but is on the side there isnt, this is the reason i put one, 2 would dry it out it seems,

NOTE: my way of keeping humidity up is simply using a warm water soaked small towel on the bottom of the rubbermaid, i know its ghetto and all but ive had really good with my maz's with it, and contams are never really a problem with me as far as casings go, i use pf tek thats why. and i use verm only as the casing layer of the crumbled cakes.

Cultivation / Overlay after dunking my casing.
December 09, 2009, 07:49:01 PM
Was i supposed to scrape off my verm casing layer then dunk then recase? i simply dunked let dry and put it in fc. now it seems overlayed with fluffy mycelia.  i have it in a bowl with clear sides since i took off the foil around the bowl to hopefully get side pins. is there any way to save this casing or am i doomed? and random but is 2g dry of aborts a good trip?

Hi, you may rememeber me from around a month ago, when i asked a question on pf tek jars. well i knocked up 10 jars, and 8 of them made it because 2 only colonized from one of the 2 innoc points. so when they half way colonized i just crumble and cased at 50%.  so now i have 3 calkes pinning, 2 casings pinning one casing already harvested 1st flush, and cakes that are crumbled and incubating until casing layer is colonized enough. (all casing crumbled cakes.

I got 50gs wet from one cake that i cased, is that a average yield? it turned out to 6.1 gs dried.

If you can answer the following questions i have that would be great, thank you.

I have hollow stems and theyre mazatapec strain, i thought these were a meaty strain but maybe its my substrate?

And also if you get a small pinset do you get bigger shrooms, and vise versa? does the pinset affect the yiled greatly?

And my last question, if i kepts the oven on 170 degrees, and kept it a little bit more than cracked open, with a fan on low blowing in from a medium distance (2 or 3 feet) will that affect potency?

PF - Tek / Question on ph tek brown rice cakes.
October 27, 2009, 11:35:25 AM
Hey guys first post and just innoculated my first "cups" (i say this because i used small glass cups with tin foil lol) yesterday.

Does anyone have any idea when i should start seeing the mycelia? And i used all of my organic brown rice can i use white rice if its needed. also, i seriously used like a little over half a cup of brown rice, very little to what ive seen. because i didnt want to mess up and waste the little amount i had left. will this small patty not produce many fruits?
