Get it to field capacity, place it in a microwavable bowl and nuke it for about 9 mins then close it up and let it cool then use it.

If you are using trays just take distilled or sterile water and pour into the trays and let them sit for anywhere from 4 - 12 hrs. Then put on a sterile glove , take your hand and place it on the casing and tilt the tray to let the water run out.
Get as much water out as possible and then place back in FC for another flush.
Harvest,Repeat.

If you are using aluminum trays, the myc has a tendency to eat through them,in that case, get a cooler , sterilize it , place the trays in , fill with water , the sub will want to float , take drinking water bottles and sit them on the sub to keep them from floating.

Beauty Seeker,
How warm is it in your house?
If it is 70 degrees or above you don't need a incubator.
People waste money in this hobby thinking they need this and that.

Remember,
The warm you keep the jars the higher the likelyhood of contam to set in, and/or in your case, causing thermal death.

All these people telling you not to worry and have yet failed to tell you what it is.  ^_^

It's condensation and it's perfectly normal for it to happen.

8 hours is plenty of time for dunking.
I use spring or distilled water for dunking my trays.
Holes in your tub is not needed.
Just fan them manually 3 - 5 times a day or buy a pc fan to hook up as F.A.E.

Cracked Corn sucks , and it lacks nutes , compared to Rye berries and/or Wheat berries and/or WBS.
Use any of the 3 I metioned and you'll have way better growth.

Get those cakes off the perlite.
Put foil or a lid under each cake.

"I know this post is already too long but I have condensation on the side of the jars, right at the innoc. spots. Is this supposed to happen?"

It is normal.

Fungus gnats can be a pain in the ass.
I have never had any , but I've had chats with people who have had them.
I wouldn't worry to much about it , by the time you see the larvae , you'll have to throw the cake/tray away.

No.

I have had flys and gnats get in my FC before.
There are insects that can be problems to mushrooms though.
But the odds of it being that is problly pretty slim.
Insects can carry other unwanted spores so it's best to keep them out as much as possible.

In short, the answer to " I was hoping there was a way to speed it up dramatically" , is NO.

You have 2 choices in this situation.
1. Wait for tolerance to naturally drop accordingly or,
2. Eat more in each sitting.

"I have always sprayed lysol around my lab, and in my house during times when I am sterilizing and PC cakes."

^^^That's a must.^^^

I am referring to the towel.
He is using the towel to cover the jars.
There is no need to spray the towel.

You had contam due to something not getting properly sterilized.
Contam can't be avoided.
Spraying to much lysol can hurt.
Lysol has been proven to mutate mushrooms and caue them to not grow.
Use it wisely and the problem will be solved :)

The only time I use lysol is to spray in the room that I innoc / transfer in.
I use isopropyl alcohol / or a bleach solution to sterilize the surfaces I work on.

heartx is correct.

I don't use perlite.
I don't use a terraium.
I use a indoor greenhouse and a ultrasonic humidifier.
If your FC is in a room with curtains to outside, just open up the curtains and thats all the light they need.

A good cheap terraium is the clear tubs you can find at walmart or just about any retail shop. They come in many sizes.
