Title: Bottom Layer For Casing
Post by: Wormy on March 05, 2008, 04:34:31 PM
I have been using a thin layer of moist verm under my crumbled substrate the last couple of years, thinking of trying without any. I like using those small aluminum loaf pans, crumble cakes into small hunks, then case just to cover well.

My inquiry is do any of you "not use" a bottom layer, or do any of you use the actual casing mix for a bottom layer. Any feedback o experience, especially if tried both ways, results and opinions.

Much appreciated,

I don't use a bottom casing layer.
