Did you actually try this? The canned corn is salted, can mycelium cope with that?

Hey I'm new to gathering and went out today for a few hours on the east side of the Oregon Cascades, in the low foothills. I found quite a few species that I haven't IDed but could tell they weren't active. Towards the end of the day I was getting lazy and didn't take pictures of these two before I picked them, but upon inspection realized they were the only two that might be what I was looking for... They were growing on a riparian trail near decaying leaves and wood debris. I took the spore prints in the field and only left the caps be for an hour so they are not very defined, but they look black to me. After I got home I started taking another spore print which I'll leave over night for further verification. Any help would be very much appreciated!

so i placed my mycelium in the fruiting chamber last week went with a shot gun style terrarium and it been a week and no pinning the block has some bluish green spot on it and is kinda turning yellow in some spots as well is the mycelium dieing or no good

Here is a little trick when using corn.  Just buy a can of cooked corn at the food Store.  Its alread well sterilized.  Just pour off liquid, and put it in sterile jars.  slp/fmrc

water is puddling in the low areas of my cakes i read that it is bad but im using a shotgun style terarrium and im having trouble keeping my humidity at 90% without leaving my humidifier on also i did not case the cake gonna dunk and roll after my 1st flush
