Ok so since you get a higher yeild off casings, I was wondering if it would be more benificial if u slice a cake in half and put the 2 halves in a casing and so on.

Ok so now it's been two weeks after i innoc'd 12 half pint jars with Puerto Rican spores, now only half of the jars have shown any growth and the growths have only been in one or two spots.  I am very sterile when it comes to doing this step, this is the first time anything like this has happend.  Does anyone know why or how this could have happend?

Does anyone forsee a problem if I made all of my substrate one day and put a layer of tinfoil under the lid to keep in the moisture then innoc. a day or 2 later?

How would you begin to colonize a jar using a spore print?

So I made my way to the ace hardware by my house the other day and I went to grab some vermiculite and they diddnt have any.  So i asked the guy if they had any in the back and they said that they had stopped mining it completely due to asbestis. If anyone has any information on the subject send it in.

Yeah so i couldnt get to the store and i had a bunch of extra vermiculite so i wet it down and put it on the bottom of my shit, and its been working purrrty damn good. anything wrong with that?

i also forgot to ask, what would be the easiest most low key way i could possibly keep the temp the same? because where i live the weather has been fluctuating from low 70's-80's or should i even worry about temp?

Ok so I cannot drive so it is harder for me to go around to get supplies.  Right now for one of my things I have a 18x18 Rubbermaid type thing, i only have 2 cakes in that one and I dont have any Perlite, I have been using hot paper towels to try and keep the humidity changing them when i change the air. I will get perlite asap but will this be ok for now?

i read somwhere that if u do some sort of dunk u can increase your flush sizes, but the link wasnt working so i figured u would know?

Yeah so the rest of my jars are about 95% complete and for the past week no new growth has occured.  Do you know a reason for this? will it eventually finish?
