Title: casing moisture question
Post by: Baphom3t on February 19, 2007, 06:54:53 AM
Hello,
I am new to the site and dig it
I have 4 trays in my FC.They have been there for 7 days,my temps have been steady at 70-72 degrees, but unfortunatly the RH is between 82-86%.
It seems if i get it any higher this one tray gets way to wet looking to me.
I do FAE on the average 6-8 times a day.
I have seen the pics of near saturation on another site, but it really doesnt answer my question unless i over looked something. So my question is,Is this tray to wet?
Sorry for the bad pic,My wifes camera sucks, but I hope its good enough to tell.
thanks for any help I get  -_-

Hard to tell by the picture, but I would say no, it doesn't look too wet. The casing layer should be moist, but not soaked wet.
And, up that air humidity to at least 90-95%RH. Some small water  droplets on the casing layer are OK.

just a update.
that tray was a bit to wet so I dapped it off with paper towel and in 24 hrs. I have pins.
it's as if it was dunked in the tray if that makes sense, cause after i dapped the water off its been BLAM.
I will post pics of the harvest when they are ready.
Thank you Anno for your help.  -_- -_- -_-
