Once you've got some mycelium, azurescens are even easier than cubensis, watering the bed in full summer a couple of times(2-3 times is enough) then wait for the fruiting season, that's all

Most of you probably have already seen this picture, but I'm going to post it here again as some other users suggested:

It is the second half from the first flush azurescens "Elixier". Came on a bed of a square meter, 15 Kg of beech woodchips

The woodchips for animal bedding are somehow cleaned, maybe steam sterilized? Does anybody know?

You can also case straight coco coir, dries a bit faster so you probably have to mist the casing,

I've got direct succes 8 -9 years ago with a golden teacher print from www.fsre.nl, I traded every flush new prints with them and created a vaste collection of strains, I never acquired spores from a commercial vendor.

Where do you get the woodchips from? I use beech chips from the pet-shop: soak, drain, inoculate with colonized woodchips, I do not pasteurize or sterilize anything, have never had any kind of contamination, my results can be seen in the thread about the "elixier" strain

I have used ~3 liter spawn upon ~70 liter soaked chips; mixed in the outdoor bed directly, this happened in april and I've had five nice flushes in october, I only waterd a few times during the summer.

I've got a 3 liter bag readymade spawn from **** wich I used to inoculate 70 liter soaked, unsterilized woodchips in the bed last year.
Since the last I've totally neglected it, just watered it one time near fruiting time.
