I just innculated ten jars yesterday and noticed that I could attain the right temperature in my house. I live in a cold house in Minnesota. So I built an incubator with an aquarium heater. I was trying to figure out the right settings on the heater and forgot about it for awhile. For about four hours my spores were incubating around 94-98 degrees F. Does anyone know if I am screwed or do I still have a chance?
They should be ok, spores are hardier than mycelium and for mycelium the thermal deaths have been established to be sightly above 100?F.
Set the heater to ~80?F now.
