oysters will grow on PF Tek, agaricus needs a nutritious casing layer and a poo substrate.

Let that flush finish out invitro. If you can clone, you should. The fruits will be safe and will do the trick.

i agree with dub, let those silly shrooms grow invitro, you can get some potent mush invitro, hang on to your butts!

time to fire that roommate man, nosy folks are no good for this hobby, especially ones in close proximity who are apt to "poke around" when your not home. be careful man, you may wanna wait til you can get a new one in to resume the hobby. sucks you lost the jars, hopefully the roomie is cool enough to not give a shit.

did you mix mycelium? two strains in one pan? if so you should expect a less than stellar result, most of the time when you mix two strains they each fight for food and usually only put out midget fruits of each strain. maybe it will work for you i hope it does, nothing is in stone in this hobby, the fungus will do what it will! keep us posted id like to see some pics when it fruits!

last time i grew hawaiian i had some white ones come up out of it, i picked all the white, they were solid white, not true albino but white anyway, picked just enough for a twenty gram fresh dose and gave em to an experienced tester, that was his last trip, ever. he gave it up after that, he described it as "all meat and teeth and mean as hell"

man i cant wait to see your pics! Hawaiians are the BOMB, the consummate mushroom trip as i remember, but i only had them mixed with B-plus, try mixing strains sometime, like eat a three gram dose or whatever your dose is, a good mix of equal parts b-plus, f-plus, and hawaiian is awesome!

awesome chains, you know where to find me. vandal you can add it to brf jars, just have to weigh your sub and add the right amount, but as for faster growth im not sure if it will help pf tek much, not to say it wont but ive never done pf tek, only bulk so i cant give you a 100% definite answer on that.

bag it up in a clean bag and throw it in the fridge if you can, once its wet you dont wanna expose it to the open air for long or contams will get on it. you could even throw it in a tub and blow dry it to get the water out and use it later. how long before you will be able to use it? one possible solution is to load it in jars with sealed lids, no holes of course, and pc it for sixty at fifteen, ive used pc'd E-Mix months after pc'ing with good results, it'll stank tho when you open the jar but its still good. hope that helps man.

yeah man theres a million ways to do this stuff, you just gotta find the one that fits you best, fastblast is great and all but by no means necessary. the way i approached it when i first started was to see what i had on hand, what i could find, found a tek that worked with what i had, and took a stab at it. you'll find, as im sure you already have, a wealth of info on this site and others as well as good folks to help you along the way. IMO this hobby should be approached with complete abandon, save for following teks, nothing should be absolutely in stone. have fun above all else, thats what the spirit of the hobby is. to answer the question about fb, its just an additive, it gives your mush the extra nutes and protein it needs to do its best, its not a substrate, which is what i think you mean when you say casing. it also wont stand alone as mush food, you need something else like poo, straw, etc. as soon as I get a little cash to do it im gonna send out a bunch of 100 gram samples of it to folks here so they can give it a shot, its mostly been a shroomotopia thing but this board is cool as hell too, gotta love a chill community of folks who help and not hinder.

vandal, i dont make the stuff, i just provide a channel that would otherwise be unavailable to those who cant afford to buy a hundred plus pounds of it at once. chains, the shipping to england for up to a twenty oz parcel is like twelve bucks. i have concentrated fb so a half pound of conc. will last as long as a pound of reg. you'd be lookin at like twenty one or two dollars US for a half pound. doesnt sound like much but you only need 2.5g per kilo of dry sub. half pound is roughly two hundred twenty four grams.

by far the strongest way i ever did any was to take a FRESH dose, thirty grams or whatever you wanna do, put them in a blender with Simply Orange or any other oj that tastes good, blend it til the mush are good and in there. OMFG is all i can say, hits you in fifteen minutes and hold on to your butts its a wild ass ride.

it cuts out a lot of hassle dub, it used to take me all day to get seed ready to pc, but now all i do is measure and cook. Of course that isnt to say that all the traditional wbs methods wont work, of course they do its just a matter of how much hassle your willing to go thru to get the results. The jars will look dirty but dont let that dissuade you, just noc one up and see if its the way you wanna go.

one time i got a killer yield off some OR Final Cut, i had enough fresh to dry out to a good eight ounces easy, i got in a hurry to dry them and put them in the oven at one eighty, which i had done before but i left the door open so the temp inside only got to around a hundred at most and worked fine, but this time i forgot to crack the door and walked away, got distracted then went to check on em, i opened the door and was horrified, my poor little mushies had all turned to a black goo! i had a good five O's worth in there, all i was left with was a gooey mess and three zips of good ones! i only did that once tho, i guess you can imagine why. I almost heard them screaming, it was a fuckin holocaust, so sad. dont ever try to dry em that way!

dont freeze em, the expanding water will destroy the cell walls, and when you thaw them your left with a nasty mash of nastiness, made this mistake myself, wont do it again.
