Title: Bay Area ID Help plz
Post by: r0xx0rs on November 28, 2011, 10:12:04 AM
Hey guys, I just came across some blueing mushrooms walking along this trail on the side of the road. the mushrooms were adjascent to some trees, that look like flat douglas firs with a dougllas fir at the far side of the area. they have caramel insude to white outside tops. gills are brown and creamyt the gills flow up to the stem but dont attach. white stem with blue staining down the stem. filled stem. think might be cyanescens or cyanofriscosa, not sure my first pick. the stem is bluing mostly but stops and goes white near gillst. its sort of like a shinyish blue. one stem appears attached to wood though found in ground and easily pulled up. this is in San Mateo Ca. spore print appears brown, but isnt finished. ill try to attach pics when i have the chance

I tried some wild mushrooms caps and stems before completely unidentified...I'm not too sure what happened but at 1 point I trespassed a field while yelling at my parents on the phone, don't know
