The general rule and safest course of action is to discard this cake. You don't want to risk spreading the contamination and most of all you don't want to risk consuming toxins.

If it's truly an isolated spot you can cut it out at birthing time.

UMM. my mycelium grew over it or somthing.......should i throw it out or does it mean its good?
