why not use a dehydrator for the whole process?

i've just never heard of using a blind fold. i've seen the video of t.mckenna talking about 5 grams in solitude. has anyone ever done that?? it sounds kinda intense.

is there a difference between rye seed and rye grain? is organic better to use? i am having some trouble finding it locally, just outside philly.

besides leaving them out, what is the best method for drying? i need them dry enough to store.

thanks pw. i'm in the process of selling my house, so i can't have fc's all over when showing the house. i can easily hide the incubator tubs.

first, does a lawn and garden store carry rye seed?? and second, how long will a colonized jar of rye keep if i can't fruit it immediatly. how should it be stored for that perod of time???

what r u using on the bottom of the fc to hold the moisture???

I only checked my jars twice today. talk about patience!!!! lol.

just went to mountain jam 5. hunter mountain, up-state new york. 39 bands,three days. it was kick ass!!!! government mule headlined, allmans, dereck trucks band, michael frantae to name a few. don't miss this show next year. it is worth the "trip"

thanks PW. i used that method and so far so good. small white deposits r forming on several of my jars. more importantly, no signs of contamination. i'll keep you posted.

is casing when you crumble the cakes into a pan/tub? what do you mix with it? what r the pros and cons of this method?? can someone give me  more details???

just ordered some b+ and golden teachers. this my 1st attempt. i ordered the spores from a site recommended by several posts on this forum. gonna try the simple step-by-step method this site gives ya. don't have a pressure cooker. can someone tell me exactly how to do it in a pot?? does refrigeration really work for faster pinning/fruiting?? any other tips for a novice??
