If I am having trouble geting BRF ... CAN I MIx vermiculit in any other way ? are there any good replacement for BRF, but work as well? To be used in a same way  as discribed in the PF -Tek

Birdseed flour or millet flour.

It works too, albeit the substrate is going to be much stickier.

it's best to have a fine flour ? or big pieces


oh and one more thing...when in the first part of growth (mycelium), should the jars be in complete darkness and no air change or anything?

BRF means brown rice flour, so.....
