Title: Rye grain bags are colonizing too slow
Post by: bigfatmouthj on February 20, 2010, 01:51:36 PM
so i have a 2 LB bag of rye berries that are colonizing very slow.
i innoculated the bag on jan 29th with some MAZ. and the grains
only show slight grain colonization. i have shook the bag once about 7 days ago to move the grains around...they look a bit dry as well. i was thinking of
shooting some sterile h2o but not sure if thats a good idea or not. any suggestions?

Injecting steril water will accomplish nothing, cut your losses and start over. Did you buy the bags or make them yourself?
