Title: Too many Aborts.
Post by: psilocybin warrior on July 20, 2008, 02:51:38 PM
Hey Anno or Baph, for some reason some of my bags are producing waaay too many aborts.  Temps are good, light is good, humidity is good.  And the only thing that I can think of is not enough fresh air, so I started fanning them once a day as of yesterday.  Do you think this will help solve my problemo?

Might be. Might also be the strain, or the substrate.

The moisture levels in the substrate can play a part in that for sure.
What tek did you use?
Do you have a filter patch on it to allow for gas exchange?
What strain?
Is it the first flush?
I've had some bags that kinda produced like that but once I removed them from the bag in their own tray and cased after first flush and dunk they seemed to do better.

I don't quite remember the tek's name, I took pre-pasturized 50straw/50dung, put it into a turkey bag and put in my spawn and broke it up.  Then I divided each turkey bag into 4-5 other 2 gallon bags with polyfill stuffed in the top and zipped it closed.  I think that's B+ and it was its first flush, I was thinking about dunking, but I misted it. Ive been real busy lately and need to keep it easy for a little while so I don't think im going to case any.  Do you think they will work better in a terrarium?
