Title: Wild bird seed with brown rice flour
Post by: lun0s on January 29, 2010, 08:00:37 AM
I got some wild bird seed and BRF. Going to make 2 jars with BRF and bird seed, and 2 jars with just bird seed. Has anybody done this before and wanna give some insight as to what I should expect? Or if i should avoid using the BRF all together with bird seed.

It's kind of pointless to use the BRF w/ WBS. The WBS has all the nutrients you need.

More nutes yes, but also slower colonization. It's a trade off. Still, it's always fun to try new stuff just make your major effort with a method that has worked for many. Why try to reinvent the wheel? It always comes out round in the end.

heh I didn't bother with it because I kept popping the bird seed when I simmered it(it didn't even bubble that much -_-).

You could add some whole brown rice in with your bird seed.
