Title: "normal" mushrooms

I guess that a person can use same tek for "normal" mushrooms ! also for non
grain type mushrooms ( wood type mushrooms ) do You change the brown rice to a differant type of food?

If you are trying to grow a wood loving psilocybe species, it will work till  colonization of the jars.
Unfortunately, since you will only get colonization with this method, ultimately you will have to use the colonized substrate as spawn for wood/compost.

Till date, I have not read of anyone adding wood to the jars and getting them to fruit this way.

BTW, You can grow with brown rice flour, but rye or birdseed will give better potency.

I can imagine it would be possible, similar to shiitake or oysters wood based substrate that also contains wood with various more nutrient components.

The problem with all Psilocybe wood lovers is that you need very controlled environment(low temperature) and/or a fair amount of luck to get them to fruit.
