Title: ISSUES!!!
Post by: Sporetica on April 28, 2009, 06:04:28 PM

So, due to some very bad circumstances, I had to move my girls over to my cousins place. Well she lives in a basement and it is very cold. Since Saturday they have been over there and the temp was all over the place. I had 2 hum/temp gauges shit out on me so as far as what the rh and temp have been, I am clueless.. All I know is, is that after a week in the FC, I have no pinning at all...There is a new layer of mycelium on the layer of verm and thats it..What do I do?!? I am kinda freaking out right now..Help!!

Thank you

Don't panic. Be patient. I usually don't see any growth (other than new Myc) for about six or seven days. you deffinitely need to gain control of your temp. and RH. Though. Otherwise just make sure you have plenty of FAE.

Make sure that you expose the cakes to light for at least a few hours. This will let them know it's time to switch from myc growth to fruiting. Good luck. Patience is a bitch sometimes.

Yea I know that they have been getting light for at least a few hours a day. I got a new thermo/hum monitor. It is one that has the sensor that goes inside and the actual gauge is out of the FC. I am using a heating pad on medium setting to increase the temp and just doing my best to keep the RH up. Unfortunatly the gauge only reads up to 90% RH..But I figure I know how to keep the RH at about 97-99% so I can just leave it as is. But we will see that happens in the next couple days..Thanks guys!

get rid of the heating mat, it will actually rob your of humidity. because of the huge temp difference between the inside and outise, it will cause alot of the moisture in the air to condense onto the colder walls in your terrarium.

What are your temps?? swings in temp are fine, its what happens in nature. Temps change between day and night. they will fruit anywhere between 69-80F.
