It's a black towel that I throw over the top of the incubator. I just used it as the back ground for the pic. It's sprayed downed with lysol on a regular basis........ should this be changed?

Why the hell is everyone thinking that dried mushrooms will produce spores? Someone put a dried mushroom into some substrate and thought he had mycelium growing........ it's a post somewhere on this forum.

So, I have my Cambodian strain being inoculated as we speak in a completely sterile research lab by my lovely girlfriend (who I'd trust with my life). I have a total of 11 half pint jars to start colonizing. I am going to do 6 cakes in a shotgun FC and then thinking about doing 5 cakes in a mono tub or vice versa (5 in a shotgun / 6 in a mono). I will make my final decisions before full colonization.

Anyways, the adventure has begun. I'll keep pics and posts of my progress.

Thanks to everyone for their productive/positive inputs about everything. Good people around here (most of the time).

If you ask a specific researched question about growing mushrooms, these guys are the best to answer it, quickly and accurately, from experience. If you show up and ask for "general knowledge" you're going to get sarcastic answers, as you have seen. Nobody cares about your path of energy or circle of events that brought you to this realm or whatever.

Just ask intelligent questions and you will get intelligent answers. Cut out the preachy bullshit.

I am supremely happy with Ralphster's Spores right now. I'm stoked on the free syringe certificate too, makes me want to buy more and more and more. My jars are being steam sterilized right now. They are getting inoculated later tonight in a lab that my girlfriend works at, completely sterile.

I was in Amsterdam in 2005 for about 10 days. I tripped balls on the 4th of July riding around the city on bicycles with a good friend of mine.
