-_-, love that popcorn. on your 2nd and 3rd flushes the fruits will be even bigger. i have had cambodians go 8 to 10 inches tall, with caps 2+ inches.. about 30+ Gs wet each.

Post by: fungiguy on July 26, 2009, 02:06:38 PM
nice fattrout. i like the popcorn so far. my last jar was a little slow colonizing. i think i shook it too many times. oh well, gonna g2g tomorrow. splitting one jar into four. hopefully it will not take as long this time. do you have a method of dunking you casings of corn after first flush??
Title: Re: casing pics.
Post by: fattrout on July 26, 2009, 03:19:39 PM
yeah fungiguy, you can shack you jars to much and that will slow down growth. you know you could, make 10 jars from 1 and a 100 from 10 and so on.. -_-
as for me, when i pull my 1st flush i just patch with new casing mix and mist the shit out of it for 2 days.  have never dunk a casing..
Title: Re: casing pics.
Post by: fungiguy on July 26, 2009, 04:09:03 PM
thanks fattrout. i had enough popcorn to do 4 jars. from them 4--case 3, and g2g the 4th. so on, and so on.
Title: Re: casing pics.
Post by: coyoteyogi on July 27, 2009, 10:21:10 AM
You can do this going from jar to jars for a number of generations but eventually run into the problem of senescence. For reasons not always clear, the myc seems to get tired. But, if you've been taking the occasional spore print, no worries. Start over from spores and begin again.
Title: Re: casing pics.
Post by: fungiguy on July 27, 2009, 11:39:42 AM
i never tried a spore print. i guess i should look into it. how many times can you g2g before the myc tires out??
Title: Re: casing pics.
Post by: malabar on July 27, 2009, 12:17:14 PM
Fungiguy,
  Try 25 - 30 events,......  lol
Title: Re: casing pics.
Post by: coyoteyogi on July 27, 2009, 12:31:16 PM
Really? 25 -30? Guess the spore sales people don't want this to get around...
Title: Re: casing pics.
Post by: fattrout on July 27, 2009, 06:49:01 PM
"Guess the spore sales people don't want this to get around..." yeah lol!! everytime i buy new spores. as soon as i have good fruit. i will take spore prints..

Fattrout,
Of course they don't want you to know this.  But, the backup plan is to make a few dishes of agar, clone the from flesh, and make sporeprints with your new, and winning fruits!    -_-
And as I would have predicted Fattrout,....  Your head remains in the game!
Continue to use the force my brother,....  It remains strong with you.  lol

Here are some pins on a Taz casing that Mr. Malabar provided me with.

Malabar: My B+ started to pin today too, they are tiny right now but I counted around 15.

Deadneck,
You are up, running and lookin' good now,.....   And you know what to do to keep the wheels going around.  Get some more of those transfers happening as soon as the next corn is 100%,.....  Do it Bro.
Trust me if you see 15 pins, that's only the beginning.  You've seen the casings I have.  There are over 50 - 60 pins at least if not more on most.  So multiply that by 22 trays.  It's like Shroom Wars in there.

Looking forward to that Fattrout. I did a round of tasmanians and had very little luck with them_ small and skinny and not many per flush.

  Lookin' fine Deadneck,......
Since you are ready to step that game up, I may have to give you one of the Tropic Aire humidifiers for your birthday.  (I still have 2 in the box.)
I think you are ready to expand, and automate.  Do those transfers, and let me know when I get back next week.

  Deadneck,
You did REAL good,..  But we will have to sit and talk about the brn rice ~vs~ popcorn!
From the reports I have gotten from my daughter who is house sitting,...  The trays with popcorn are producing numbers,....  But the brn rice has the numbers and Huge Sizes side by side.
I'll see when I get in tomorrow night,....  But, I'm thinking the grains are more the road I will stay with.  The popcorn hasn't really impressed me, other than it is an easy medium to do transfers with, due to the easy separation of the kernels.  You have seen just how fast the rice  colonizes.  And they fruit on a schedule you can almost predict.
My daughter also said she made some PDA, and MEA and cloned a few of the winners, so we have some stock to cycle with.
Talk to you when I get back.

Okay,
Here are a couple of pics of what I brought with me to Colorado,....  Just from a few trays,... all grown on cased brown rice.
We'll see what we have when I get back home tonight.

being a 19 yr old kid its a lot of fun going and finding a bum from your guys' era that didn't make it through all the drugs and talking to them tripping nuts lol one time i had this guy yelling at us about how he couldnt remember a 1973 led zeppelin concert but he knew he was there tripping his mind away. he was on crack or some shit these days though. its sad seeing some people totally lost in life sometimes but i mean your life is your life and your in control of it

Coyoteyogi,
I landed at Bill Wheelers in February of 1968, and left in the spring of 1969.  Good times for sure,......

    **************

   Room408,
And just where are you going with all of that?
I have grandkids almost your age,....  And as unfortunately, I see kids your age and younger that are victim of their own desires, if they have survived.  The sad part,........   kids now a days have the benefit of internet, past errors and mistakes of others,......and social education of many of the substances, drugs, and shit that we folks, of that "era" were test pilots for the government, amateur chemists, and our own curiosity.

yeah its in every generation... all im saying is that they are stories that are interesting, and its first hand talking to someone with that experience instead of watching a video. its just something to do while tripping on acid at 4 in the morning im not being mean to you or the people i meet. malabar, i respect you raising your kids with the knowledge and a respect for these substances and their power. i plan on raising mine the same way. going out and sharing experiences with others is what life is all about. we on the same page? i guess that last post did sound a little harsh, but this is what i meant by it

408,
Cool enough.  I know as being a single parent to 5 daughters,......  We have been best of friends, in which I have shared all with them, and hidden nothing.
They are all very successful, and I love them and their children very much.  I could only hope they will have the relationship with their kids that we have had.
I wish everyone did.          Life is Good!        -_- -_-      And it could be a lot better for everyone if we could all learn, share and play well together,.....

Shroomzer,
Thanks for the endorsement, and living Life the Right Way.   You are a "Keeper", for sure!
It has taken my other half some time to come to terms with the relationships I share with my daughters, and grandkids.
Perhaps since she never had any, or that she is only a few years older than they are.  But, we are all family, and I feel blessed to have them all!    -_-
With that said,...  Let's get this thread back on track, before my buddy Deadneck, has a Meltdown!  lol    ^_^
