Title: spore amount- to yield
Post by: room408 on February 18, 2009, 01:54:03 PM
i am wondering if the amount of spore solution is related to the yield in the end, or if the spores multiply to fill basically whatever size medium in it's in during incubation and then fruit?

The amount of spore solution is not related to the yield.  The spores produce mycelium which in turn produces the mushrooms.  Too little spore solution will result in slow growth of mycelium, too much could cause the substrate to be too wet.  Yield is primarily related to growing conditions and the substrate that you grow on.
