Well I didnt get much feedback from you guys but if anyone cares to know what I was doing wrong.... TEMPS! the temps were too low so what I did was I put my FC inside another Tub but with a water heater to warm my FC up. As soon as I upped my temps my cakes started to pin. So here are some pics of my babies. I thought I wouldnt harvested shrooms ever again. Im kinda happy with what I got from my first flush. These shrooms should last me months!

Hey fellas quick update. So one of my casings has been pinning for about 10 days already. But the pins seem to be taking a long time to mature, is that normal? I never had this problem with my last grows, I remember the pins maturing in about 7 days. What do you guys think? Also how does the other casing look?

OK what I did was this. I crumbled som brf cakes and put substrate over it. It got fully colonized and never pinned, so I put  some verm over the fully colonized tray. That was like 5 days ago. Here are some pics. Sorry for the confusion. Any tips? thanks

Ok, I think I might have made a small mistake. What I did was the following: I crumbled a couple of BRF cakes and then put a small amount a substrate over the crumbled cakes. The substrate got covered in myc. So then I put a small amout of vermiculite layer on top of the substrate. So now its cased with verm.

Was that why it hasnt pinned yet? I will add more pictures tonight. Right now I have 2 trays, one tray cased with verm and the other cased with potting soil.

sup fellas, well first of all let me say some things. I was on here about 2 years ago asking questions, My previous grow ops have been great. I stopped growing shrooms for about 2 years now Im wanting to get "back in touch with everything there is to know about life" if you get my drift. Anyways Im having trouble with growing my shrooms. I made some BRF jars and made them into casings. My first casing this time didnt do so good, so I threw it out becuase it just wouldnt fruit! now I have some more casings but still they wont fruit! I have them in a FC, theyve been there for almost 2 weeks and I still dont see any signs of them pinning. Im  fanning about twice a day, I give em at least 12 hours of light. Im thinking its because of "overlay". Here goes some pics to help you guys help me. Let me know what I should do. Thanks!

btw if I messed up this grow I have 3 other casing to work on. All I need is advice.

hey fellas i made a syringe from prints i made from my first grow and now i have 14 colonized 1/2 pint jars. had 15 but 1 got contammed. anyways i was wondering how i can get the most from these 14 jars. i could do casings but i would end up with a shit load of them. can i just make it into 1 huge casing? whats the best thing for me to do? thanks

the casings are the ones in the containers. for my casings i used 60% peat based potting soil, and 40% vermiculite. sterilized it in the microwave for like 10 mins.

yea from now on im doin casings only. there was a big yield difference between the cakes and the casings. ive been taking prints and im willing to trade someone, cause i wanna try different strains.

the black spots are spores : ) nothing for me to worry about. i think. lol

hey fellas i got 2 pf cakes in my fruiting chamber. do i need to make lil holes? because right now my fruiting chamber has no holes in it. and the temps are in the mid 70s and RH always at 99%

hey guys my jars are about 90% colonized. the temps have been in the mid to high 80s. will my mushies fruit with these temps? whats the hottest it can get?

hey fellas, so i have 10 BRF cakes incubating. they were inoculated 1 week ago and 9 out of 10 jars are showing signs of life, qaurter size white specks.  i was gonna fruit them using vermiculite for moisture, but im looking for a better harvest yield. which casing tek do you guys recommend for a first timer grower?

yea it has to be in water. but right now i have the jars in a opened box and the temps in there are 81f/67 rh. so i dont need an incubator right now. should they be in complete darkness? when should i be seeing the 1rst signs of life?

hey guys, i inoculated 10 jars yesterday. should i put the jars in a box with blankets over them? i have an aquirem heater but it might be too warm for em. what can i do to make em colonize faster?

not sure if its organic. ive tryed vons, albertson, walmart, and a coupla more stores.

hey fellas ive been tryin to find BRF for the past 2 weeks. the only thing i found was brown rice. can i make it into powder and use that instead of brf?

how do you fellas go about inoculating your jars? do you use a glove box? or do you just disinfect your room then inoculate your jars?
