i'm using the pf tek. i have my jars in a large rubbermaid container. should i have the plastic lid on it and just take it off once a day for air exchange, or should i leave the lid off and drape a blanket over it just to keep the heat in. i figured with the lid on it would give the jars a slightly more steril environment. any help will be greatly appreciated.
I let my jars colonize in my closet in the open.
So you don't have to have the lid on.
