Title: cobweb or just myc??
Post by: jrfungi on January 05, 2009, 07:02:00 PM
Guys please look at this for me. I started these cakes and had the aquarium set up. Since, I have gone to the poor man's pod. I am getting a lot better results by the way. First off I would like to apologize for these shit pics my good camera is dead.

My question is: Is this Myc or cobweb mold on my stems?
It is appearing on all my flushes and usually it goes away during drying.

2nd question: The bare spot is wehre I rubbed a Q-Tip with peroxide in the spot. The peroxide immediately foamed up and bubbled. After a few seconds the white spot went away and turned into the bare spot you see. Thanks for all your help.

I doubt i'ts cobweb. All the mushrooms i've grown have some really fuzzy myc. on the base of the stems. Plus if it was cobwed, it would take over all of your cake or casing in like 2 or 3 days and you would know for sure it was cobweb.

I highly doubt that it's cobweb.
Myc sometimes grows on the mushie and it is perfectly safe and quite common.
