Title: Capturing and storing your own spores?
Post by: -CAP KING- on January 05, 2010, 07:07:05 AM
Yo yo musheads,

I know this something far from me at the moment, but i wanna learn in advance to save money. Is as simple as catching fallen spores or printing caps on paper? and how do you store them? can they go off?

enlighten me.

you can take spore prints, you can do agar cloning (havn't gotten there myself) and you can do g2g (grain to grain I believe it's refered to) but once a spore print is made it can be saved for along time :) and turned into spore syringe if u like...

Grain to grain transfers are a really easy way to start. Spore prints aren't to difficult either. Check out shroomery.org (http://shroomery.org) lot's of info there

cap king, i have been making prints for quite some time. because it is great for long term storeage and its easy... in fact the spores can last forever!!!
now, cloning on agar is best. but its a little more work....IMO
