Again Sorry for not taking pics of the first birth and me drying it....Got too excited when I saw the first shroom pop up. This time Im starting 4 new strains and im going to post it up .......

Nice pics....I didn't see any growing methods using BRF Cakes.

looks like you get more shrooms from the way your growing it.

I'm thinkin of switchin up methods.

Yea My PES Hawaii Strain was very slow in colonizing....I didn't see anything till a week and 1 day. Since then its been growing at a slow rate. I learned to have patience with this strain.

Perlite is the substance that holds small amount of water for the fruiting chamber. That creates humidty inside the chamber. Vermiculite is the substance used to mix with water and brown rice flour to make your cake.

cant substitute.

since you started with the hawaii strain let me know how it goes. Let me know if it colonizes slow because my hawaii strain colonized really slow compared to my tasmanian strain.

lol if you mention it that way then yea you could contaminate your work. When I innoculated it I had rubber gloves sterlized with alcohol and I made sure I covered my arms. it worked for me. I didnt use any masks.

until the jar is cool to touch. Its recommended to leave the jars overnight. Either way works
