Here are some pins on a Taz casing that Mr. Malabar provided me with.

Malabar: My B+ started to pin today too, they are tiny right now but I counted around 15.

They will probably bruise a nice deep blue depending on how hard you had to squeeze them, but it won't affect grow much, if at all. I would get wide mouth jars to avoid this in the future.

What's perlite doing inside of your cake? WTF? Perlite is used inside your FC to create humidity.

I'm sorry for your loss Baph. It is never easy to deal with lost ones in your life no matter how close or how far they are to your heart. Just keep them in your thoughts and don't forget them ever. I know it took a lot to post your message and to send your respect to him via this forum, but he knows what kind of guy you are and that's all there is to it.

Best regards,

It took 8 days from the day I dropped my envelope in the mail to getting my spore syringe. I was happy with that, I'm in the Southeast. Time will vary based on where you are.

Yo CrazyD,

I think 7-10 days is a more realistic time frame for tolerance to go down, but the longer the better. If you eat a small amount one week and then have more the next week, you'll trip harder obviously. It's just like any other drug, you build up a tolerance, and given enough time you'll reset to zero. You either need time, or larger quantities of mushies.

Guess I should have been a little specific on the amounts, my bad, I have 6 pint jars, and 12 half pint jars colonizing from the G2G. Adding up to a grand total of 6 Qts. They are looking really good, I'm stoked on the G2G right now. It's all it's cracked up to be. I'll be around.

Cool Man,

I have about 6 1/2 Qts (kinda on the small side of the scale) of Cambodians going with popcorn right now all transfered from 1 pt of colonized popcorn 6 days ago. They are looking good, but didn't want to stall them again by shaking them. Probably going to do a monotub when they colonize 100%, I would definitely be down for an exchange. I can't wait for more fruits.

Hit me up,
DN

Cultivation / Shaking a G2G Jar
July 09, 2009, 11:34:07 AM
I read something on Shroomery about not shaking a G2G jar 5 days after the transfer b/c the myc suffered enough destabilization while going through the transfer. I can't remember the details and don't feel like searching again. Anyone have any info on this.

Thanks,
Dead

I don't have a dehydrator either. I have rigged up a decent way to fully dehydrate: I took a large metal mixing bowl from my kitchen and put a piece of screen on top and secured it together with a large rubber band. I then place the bowl in front of a fan and place shroomies on top and they usually dehydrate in about 24hrs.

This is my way of doing it, you can adjust to your liking. I'm not sure how long they take if left on a plate. I'd at least put them in front of a fan to accelerate the process.

You can pick your babies once the veil breaks away. If you don't pick them now and let them grow out a little more, nothing bad will happen. The cap will open up a little more and maybe drop spores in your FC. Potency will not be affected.

Set up an account with www.photobucket.com and upload your pictures to that site and then copy the IMG code of the picture you want to post here and paste the link in a post on fungifun.org.

Being successful feels so good after failing. Way to stick to it and now it's time to reap the benefits. Congrats

I just bit the bullet and went out and bought a dozen new jars. I only had 1/2 pints at the house and grains need a much larger volume of space, so I bought a dozen pint jars. Qts won't fit in my PC (unfortunately). I'm PC'ing them as we speak (10PM), doing a G2G transfer tomorrow.

If I would have read your post before Malabar, I probably would've been equally happy with new lids. But it's done and too late now. I'm still pretty stoked on my new jars.

Peace,

Thanks again Fatt,

I'm reading a thread on Shroomery right now, and it looks like a coffee filter isn't the best b/c it's way too porous, but some have had success with it. I only have two jars that need a filter, I'll risk it this time.

Thanks Fatt,

One more question: instead of a polyfil filter with a lid, can I use two coffee filters secured with a rubberband and then covered with tin foil? I ran out of lids.  Oooops.
