Title: hygrometer
Post by: jonny boy on September 09, 2009, 11:07:10 AM
i was looking around the net today and came across a way to accurately calibrate a hygrometer by putting a tsp. of salt into a shot glass with a few drops of water to moisten not to dissolve then sealing the meter and the glass in a zip lock the salt will maintain a 75% reading. i was kinda skeptical  about the one i bought i was kinda on the cheap side but turns out it works fine............... just thought i would share

This works for most lower end hygrometers that allow for calibration.  Nothing like a remote, or wired self calibrating unit!
