Haha, putting things in the rear, none the less something shaped like a male anatomical body part might make you a bit light in the loafers, but if yer trying to trip man, do what you do...

Yeah I've been out of the loop since my computer has been on the fritz. Here are some pics of my fruiting unit and incubator too it's pretty sweet...

With this setup in perpetual grow, I harvest every 9-12 days at 3/4 lbs dry weight per flush.

Cultivation / G2G Rescue...

Out of the 48 inoculated jars in my PES Hawaiian grow, four didn't take  But I did four successful grain transfers from one single doner jar to rescue them. Nobody likes wasted resources : )

Pics of my shelf setup soon  ^_^

I  have grown a few myself : ).
Golden Teachers, B+, Mazzies, Cambos, T.C's but my overall favorite for the reasons of production and effect is the PES Hawaiian strain. Some of the densest fruits and absolutely the best and most colorful visuals lacking the jitters oor racey mindset.

The best thing to do dude is just to not pay any attention, and uuh, not post anything relating to the spam concerns... they will get bored eventually and stop taking up our space...

I generally use sporeworks, I have heard good things about ralphsters, but the only thing that throws me off is the the lack of ability to use the proper scientific name or common name to my familiarity...
Watch, hordes of ridicule come my way...
But really, I have never been disappointed by sporeworks. But through ralphsters, if there are any recommendations on potency and yield then I would be more than happy to convert.

I can't see rust as an invasive variable in your culture. Maybe in the immediate vicinity of the mycelium but not in the growth of the jar as a whole. I have had the same problem, using jar lids in 5-6 generations of pressure cooking, and it took nothing more then a thorough washing to eliminate any variables concerning yield or progression.

Wow, those are some gorgeous mushrooms  ^_^  Good work.

Haha, well my first strain choice was going to be PES Hawaiian. But unfortunately Sporeworks was outta them about a week ago... Hopefully next time   Damn, I should have researched my shrooms a little better. I hear Mazzies are a pretty potent strain, but they are kind of stubborn to get goin and the production is a little limited...

Sorry bout that, it's been a little over two years since I've whipped out my old incubator and pressure cooker, so I figured I'd do a little bit larger scale summer grow...
Wish me luck.

Thanx

I think this is right? But in any case this is just the setup for now...

Autoclaving, sterilizing, eh same diff...
Thanks... Guess I'm off to Image Shack?
#75
Haha, okay, so I'm old and not very computer savvy, how does one get the pictures from your documents onto the post eeh?
#76
Alright, all 72 jars are finally autoclaved and inoculated with B+ syringes. My incubator is filled to the brim with as many jars as I could comfortably fit! Last time I used all of my supplies for this big of a grow it turned out well.  ^_^ I should easily be expecting a pound and a half...

Pics coming later tonight, I gotta take them first

There are too many variables in identifying mushrooms simply from a picture. By your spore print description it does seem to lead towards the psilocybe genus, but you can never be sure. Buy a field guide. A complete Smithsonian mushroom hunter's guide is around $30 at a book store. Don't be stupid and eat something you aren't 100% sure about.

I once grew mycelia from azurescens spores on untreated cardboard as an experiment, but never got further than a 2 inch circle of growth. I should experiment further and write the tek, I think I'm getting somewhere with this...
