Cultivation / Re: Still growing

Nice flush for a newbie. What strain is that? And for my own education how did you embed an image in your message? Thanks.

 thanks guys. No more tea. I have heard from someone I've met that chocolate and 'shrooms are a great combo. But I love peanut butter and banana. Chopped fine and eaten on an empty stomach? I am still interested in having a "threshold" experience, not out of fear but out of curiosity. There was an interesting article on Reality Sandwich a couple of weeks ago titled: "http://www.realitysandwich.com/psychedelics_light_yoga_sutras "
and I want to experiment with doing yoga and mild levels of pcs.
Once it gets a bit warmer and more of the snow melts, I'll do a "proper" dose outside under the stars.

General topics / Dosage and levels _ my experience
March 29, 2009, 01:33:37 PM
So I have just under 17 grams dried and preserved shrooms I cut on Thursday. I took 1.1 gr (no name calling now) by putting them in a cup of peppermint tea and letting them steep for 20 minutes. Then drank the tea and ate the shrooms chewing carefully. So far nothing seems to be happening and it's been two days. I'm setting up for a proper excursion but I'm trying to get a feel for the right amount. Mind you my last psychedelic experience was 37 years ago so I'm just sticking my toe in the water. A big fan of Terrance but I'm not quite ready for a "heroic" dose.
But if nothing happens at 1.1 (no sense of enhanced visuals no change of mood or energy) I'm tempted to go to 2 gr. My goal is to have a threshold experience. Then later this month I'll go for the 3-5 gr. I grew pc b+ and harvested a mix of veils broken and just starting to shred.
  Comments or other personal experiences?

Very nice garden. Are those GT strain? BTW thanks for the reassurance about the please force. That was my intuition and certainly common sense would suggest the same.
Glad I found this community. I am really enjoying the growing process.

It's a turn of phrase not an action plan. Chill. First flush on three of the cakes is going well. I've exposed the other three to indirect sunlight and then returned them to the FC. Our house is cold in the corners and we still have snow on the ground. I"m keeping the FC at  75-80.
My wife of 28 years saw my little jar of dried and ready 'shrooms and voiced her paranoia that the police will descend on our home and take me away in cuffs. Does any body know of a cultivator (other than PF) who has been busted by the DEA or local constabulary? I think her fear is of the radical rogue police officer out to save the world for Jesus. All in her mind I know and I am very selective on who I've shared the news of my new hobby. Still I ordered from a site on the web and paid with a credit card. What is the experience of others?
best,
coyote

Cultivation / Re: azurescens and bird seed

Replying to myself. Yes it works with BR cakes. My current revised plan is to go from BR cakes to freshly chipped and sterilized birch and alder. Dishpan or jar?

Cultivation / azurescens and bird seed
March 26, 2009, 12:22:11 PM
Hello everyone, new to the forum and new to cultivating. I would have to give myself an A for the results so far with B+ but I'm having no luck with azurescens. I have inoculated two quart jars of organic bird seed. I soaked the seed for a couple of hours, drained and cleaned the water then boiled the seeds for an hour and a half. This became the substrate in the jars that I  sterilized in a pressure cooker at 15 psi for two hours and then let cool over night. After 10 days of sitting in a warm closet in the dark there is no sign of any mycelial growth. I did not separate out the sunflower seeds. I used a syringe with a commercial spore strain. I did not use it all and I've ordered another. What is the best way to proceed? Go to agar then grain?
Has anyone tried using the vermiculite/brown rice flour mix with azurescens? Is it possible to mix spiral dowels with the PFTEk mix and go from initial injection to wood in one step?
Thanks
