Can you use a 1 gallon jug as a poor mans terrarium or does it have to be a two liter? How long does it take to see mushrooms growing once birthing has been accomplished? What is the average time before you begin to see results? If you did not wet the cake after the birthing can this affect how fast the mushrooms grow?

A 1 gallon jug can work fine as long as you keep the humidity up. The amount of time it takes until you start seeing results varies on many different factors, for instance, FAE, rH, and genetics. I've seen some strains pin within a week, some took several weeks. Dunking can force the mycelium to go into a brief recovery mode, however it wouldn't be anything drastic.
