my cultivation was plant set while i was on vacation and when i returned all my mushrooms where covered in a black film is it fungus are they OK to eat?

Was there any sort of air exchange, humidity, etc...
Is there just black stuff on the caps? It might just be spores...see if you can wipe it off with a cottonball or somthing. Also try posting a pic that would really be the best thing you could do for us as well as yourself.
2weeks and i dont think he checked them or aired them out

It most certainly was spores. Dark purple-brown dust that would be.
