Title: Help on Agaricus Blazei Murill Mushrooms
Post by: travln747 on December 22, 2008, 07:37:53 PM
I'm new to the forum here, but I really need to ask the pros a serious question. I'm looking for info on obtaining Brazilian "Agaricus Blazei Murill" mushrooms. I would very much like to find a source for spores or fresh closed caps so I could collect the spores myself.
I've recently been diagnosed with Metastatic Cancer (stage 4) so I don't have a lot of time. But I have discovered that many Japanese Oncologists are perscribing these 'shrooms as a supplement with much success.
If anyone has any information they could share on these, I would really appreciate it.

The free spore ring sites are not around anymore I think.
And that would have been your best bet to obtain spores.
All I have found is extracts and powders. But no spores.

And then there is this,
http://www.agaricusfarm.com/our-agaricus-blazei-murill-s/27.htm
They are the dry mushrooms , but I doubt that you could grow anything from it.
ABM is also known as Himematsutake and Agaricus subrufescens.

I know it's not spores and shit, but I hope the links helped. :)
And welcome to the site.

Those spores/fresh fruits are near impossible to find, I would suggest if you find a dry source call them or write them and let them know whats up (some places can be pretty fuckin cool) and see if you can special order fresh ones or a spore print.  Also if you wanna give this place a try I can't make any promises but they have an incredible amt of strains, and if its not on the list that doesn't mean they don't have it. So give em a call or write em an email n let em know whats up.

I just sent this place an email. 'Course, it's Chrismas day here so I don't expect any answer yet, but I will call them tomorrow the 26th and ask if they have the stain or at least know who might. Seriously guys, thank you so very much for all this help!!
It may not be a big deal to you to help someone out like this...........but it is a big deal to me right now! So thank you!

My pleasure bro, If the site I gave above fails it might not hurt to offer this place http://www.agaricusfarm.com/ money for a print or a fresh order.  I wish I knew of a place to get a strait print or spore syringe

I called the place today and talked to someone there, very nice people and sincerely helpful. Although they knew of no one who had any supply of the fresh fruits, they do have the spores for the "Agaricus subrufescens", so I placed an order. Now to learn as much as possible about raising these little lifesavers!
Speaking of "Lifesavers........you guys are the greatest! Sincerely, thank you!
