Title: casing ? and clean box?
Post by: moorhS on December 10, 2009, 10:56:51 PM
going to go ahead and do the casing 101 http://www.shroomery.org/50/Casing-101 (http://www.shroomery.org/50/Casing-101) and was wondering how much contamination comes into play? , is using a clean box advised since I do not have a hepa(yet)  going to use peat (potting soil based)/verm lime flour and oyster shells for acidic level.... now if it's a potting soil based peat then less lime and oyster is used to raise the acidic level? thanx  ^_^ oh and that tropic air works awesome both FC's are 99+ thanx for tip  ^_^

You can sterilize your casing material in your PC. You can also do it in the microwave. If you don't have access to either then I would case with an inert material like verm.

If you've got fully colonized grains you should be fine without a glove box for casing. Lime lowers the acidity. Cubes like it on the sweet side.
