i mean when i am pc'ing the peat/verm.

i just crossed over to the wonderful world of popcorn. the 1st attempt is cased (peat/verm 50/50). it should be ready for the fc by friday--hopefully. my question is this~~~~when pressure cooking, should i have a whole-with polyfill- in my jar lids?

has anyone recieved a response from the administrator yet? just curious. these people, with thier hidden agendas, are really bringing me down.

if you want, you can store them in my freezer. lol!!

put an aquarium heater, in a cup of water, inside your fc.

the temp in your fc should be around 75 degrees, about 10 degrees lower than your incubator. basically "room temperature". if it is too warm try moving them to the lowest floor of your house(basement). if it is still too warm, you can try filling a few cups with water, than freezing them. rotate the cups once a day and watch your temp. it should go down.

hay dub, the whole process took no longer than 30 days. once i got the cakes into the fc they sat for a few days. than the pins started. i went to a friends house over-nite. when i got home the next morning, BAM. i couldn't believe it. they grew several inches in 24 hours.

thanks malabar. i am going to the store shortly to pick-up some supplies. just to be clear, is peat the same as peat moss? i already have some verm, but it is not fine verm. is that ok?

ok, so i am venturing on to grains. i have pint of fully colonized popcorn. i think i am gonna use peat/verm mix. do i put a layer of the mix down 1st, than the popcorn, than another layer of mix? the tub goes back into incubator for how long?? i'm not 100% on how to do this. any help would be greatly appreciated!! what type of "peat" should i be using??

thanks!! not too bad for a first timer. i have a couple more flushes coming my way from 9 cakes. in the mean time, i have 6 jars (1/2 pts.) verm/brf knocked up with taz. also trying popcorn tek out---4 pint jars knocked up with cambodian. gonna case 3 and G2G the fourth.

i just picked all the shrooms off my cakes. i know they are going to sit for a while and do nothing. should i dunk them again? if so, how long?? and should i roll them in dry verm again?

well malabar, that is pretty intense! i'm gonna have to wait till my cakes flush again. don't have enough weight stored to get to that level. after 20 grams, can you function or are you lost in another world? i guess that is the idea!! i'm gonna try some golden teachers tonight. can't wait!!!!

wow, really? 20 grams dry?? do you mean splitting that for two people??? i don't think i am quite up to that speed yet. the most i have taken is 5 grams dry and that was a VERY nice trip!!!

thanks. kinda got worried when they changed colors. didn't want to fail after all that hard work. me and the wife split 40 grams fresh and had a good ole time. b+ is the stain. very mello, but we need to eat more next time to cross over to the other side!!!

the caps and some of the stems turned dark purple, almost black, while drying. they don't have a funny smell. is this normal? i think i waited too long to harvest because my fc looks like a purple bomb went off inside it. i am assuming that this is the result off spores dropping. are the shrooms ok to eat??

cool. thanks deadneck!! i do not own a dehydrator yet. how long does it take for them to dry if just left out on a plate. will they dry completely if dried that way?
