Haven't been here in several months myself. Have still continued to cultivate mushrooms though. Grew almost a LB of B+ since June.

Sure hope those shrooms don't start to grow out of your finger.

I like to grind them up into a powder and mix them in a glass of chocolate milk.

Every TEK I have read called for brown rice. Most of them said to use organic, but any brown rice will work and it is readily available in most grocery stores.

Yes, you can.

Be strong Helo, the adversity in your life will not last forever. Although when you are mired in the throws of a difficult situation it can seem like an eternity. All things eventually pass.

Knowing your RH is extremely important for continuous success. I bought a used Flukers brand gauge that shows the temp. and the RH. bought it off Amazon.com for about fifteen bucks. It has a digital read out and has worked well for me for over a year now with only one battery change. They can also be found at most of the larger pet supply stores. Hope this helps.

I know you don't need to PC for the PF-TEK (I never did use one myself) but you can if so inclined.

If you were working with a glove box and everthing was already sterile, you should be okay.

Yes, by a few days, not much though.

If you roll them in clean verm after they are dunked followed by a really good misting  it will greatly increase the moisture retention in your cakes and contribute to the size of your flush.

I use micropore tape over my inoculation holes, works great.

Some of it appears to be bruising while the dark purple coloration is due to the spores dropping.

The caps have split open due to low Rh. Your flush looks rather tasty though, congrats.

Cubensis require light to grow. They will not grow properly in total darkness. They need light to stimulate the growth cycle and to tell the fungi which way is up. You may need to study the growth cycle for this particular type of fungi olzo.

Don't freeze them! You will kill them if you do.

It's the worst contaminant you can get IMO. I never have found a way to kill it once it has started either. All of my efforts to kill it in the past have been a waist of time. Good luck and if you do find a "cure" please tell us all.
